I finally got to check out one of the bands that excited me most in the last few years - Little Brother. Phonte and Big Pooh, sans recently departed band-mate and one of the hottest producers in the game today, 9th Wonder, took the stage at the Rogers Picnic two Sunday’s ago at the Historic Fort York. The duo labeled by the BET as being “too intelligent” only had 45 minutes to impart their wisdom on the early afternoon crowd, but as a prelude to the nights’ headliner - The Roots, the North Carolina natives performed amicably dropping hits from The Listening, The Minstrel Show as well as a few tracks from their upcoming album Get Back, the ads for which can be seen on their modest tour van parked right outside. Peep the pics for some highlights.
