LOL. This shit is hilarious. DWW is honestly one of the most horrible ‘bands’ I’ve ever heard, and the funny thing is that it takes 7 guys to accomplish this .. I’m really ashamed at today’s generation that makes crap like this actually rise to the top of the proverbial toilet bowl. What can I say, though? When the radio and top 40 contains nothing but absolute garbage, I must admit I’m not totally surprised.

Bring back the real music where skill didn’t take the back seat over trying to get a bunch of tweens that don’t know any better thinking that you produce quality tracks.

So I gave y’all a bad review! Get your fuckin’ dicks out your own mouths for long enough to take a joke. My own music is floating around an’ I’m sure certain folks are gonna hate it. They’ll think it’s worthless. An’ that’s fine by me, ’cause folks have a right to think of me whatever they want. If you don’t have integrity enough to withstand the fact that there’s gonna be some folks out there who don’t ride for your music, what kind of men are you to be able to ask for folks’ support in the first place?

I concede that that review is full of insults, an’ overwritten ones too. Looking back it’s not a very good piece of writing. I admit that, ’cause a righteous man admits to the truth no matter what source it comes from. But I stand by my opinion, which is that I hated what I heard at that show. Not all Down With Webster music, not you guys as people, not your fans — I just didn’t like that show.

An’ for what it’s worth I haven’t heard y’all’s albums. I do intend to do that, because I’ll give anybody a second chance. I used to hate the rapper Gucci Mane’s music until I listened closer. If he can change my mind anybody can.

So I don’t have nothin’ against y’all as people. Go on an’ live. Be successful, be happy. But if some small-time reviewer on the Internet disses your music, have enough respect for your own art that you don’t fuckin’ scream and cry like a three-year-old whose mama won’t buy him ice cream. Y’all can eat a dick an’ die if you wanna live like that.

Peace to some of these brothers who agreed with my points though, that’s good shit. An’ peace to DWW an’ they fans too. I don’t agree with y’all’s approach to criticism but I don’t wish y’all no harm. Go on an’ live.

While I could not disagree with your opinion on DWW more, what really struck me about this review was your pathetic writing style. It may be true that everyone is entitled their own opinion, but surely it takes more than an opinion to proclaim that yours is “Toronto’s premier live urban music?photo-blog.” All this piece demonstrates is that your Microsoft word thesaurus is functioning and that you enjoy trying to intimidate your reader with long-winded and needlessly complex sentence structure. Denizens? Pastiche? Buddy its 2008 is this really necessary? I honestly feel bad for anyone that is impressed with your writing. In addition to your offensive language skills you also failed to include any real content in this work. Instead of attacking these musicians and describing how you feel, try to be a little more constructive. You clearly did not enjoy the show but what is your opinion based on? Without a coherent analysis of the actual music your review is little more than a misled rant. Why should I listen to you? Once again I’m not going to debate your musical opinion no matter how out of touch with reality it may be. After all everyone has haters. But for your own sake, take some fucking pride in your work. As a final thought, you and your photographer may want to consider using pseudonyms. Although you put a lot of emphasis on paying hip hop dues, there is something about the names Noah Goodbaum and Philip Litevsky which lack hip-hop credibility. How about cock-smith?

You sir are a fag! Is this actually your job? I don’t know who you think I am but I grew up listening to (and rhyming with) rhythmicru and came to a point where they could no longer mentor me. They are all good friends of mine but I would battle them all any day. (and I’m not even the main emcee.)
