Lots of Wikipedia schooling today for everyone. I didn’t end up covering the entire Four Elements Festival, but a concert celebrating the 25th Anniversary of Wild Style can’t be missed. D.I.T.C‘s Lord Finesse with a surprise appearance by DJ Roc Raida of the X-Ecutioners doing some crazy turntablist solo AND duo action (Yes, Finesse can handle his own on the one’s and two’s) as they opened for Grand Wizard Theodore, Busy Bee and Fantastic Five. Overall, Lord Finesse, despite his sore throat, murdered the old-0ld-school crowd with a fantastic show. While Theodore did some nice tricks on the decks cuttin’ blind-folded for a few minutes, his MC’s were showing their rusty stage presence and couldn’t move the lethargic Toronto crowd with anywhere near the finesse of the opening act.
